Columns of the QA Track Dashboard

Modified on Tue, 31 Jan 2023 at 03:30 PM

There are 8 columns of QA data in the QA Track dashboard.  There are four columns of File QA information, and 4 four columns of Field QA information. They mostly behave the same way. Each family (File and Field) has four columns:

  • Eligible Projects
  • QA Selected
  • QA Completed
  • Registered QA Completed

We will describe these columns and their values below. The only differences between “File” and “Field” in these values are:

  1. The QA Type that projects are marked with when they are selected. Projects can be marked both File and Field.
  2. The size of the Required QA quotas (used to calculate denominators for "Selected" and "Completed'), which are 10% of projects for File QA and 1% of projects for Field QA.
  3. File QA requirements include only projects for which a user is the Rater of Record. Field QA requirements include all projects for which a user is a Rater of Record and all projects where that user is either an Additional Rater or Field Inspector attached to the project. So the number of eligible projects (and therefore the number against which a quota is calculated) for Field QA will always be at least as large as for File QA, and will usually be larger.

The Columns

Eligible Projects

The total of all projects during the QA Period that are either:

  • Registered with RESNET during the period
  • Have the QA Status "Marked for QA," implying that they are currently selected for QA.

QA Selected – (Selected / Required)

The total of all projects marked for the QA type and having a QA Status that are either:

  • Registered during the QA period.
  • Currently unregistered, if the period is still open (e.g., "Year 2023" in March 2023).

The denominator of the fraction seen on each line is the QA required for the user if all eligible projects are registered during the period (# eligible projects * QA requirement for the type).

QA Completed – (Completed / Selected)

The total of all projects marked for the QA type and having a QA status of either “Passed” or “Failed” that are either:

  • Registered during the QA period.
  • Currently unregistered, if the period is still open (e.g., "Year 2023" in March 2023).

The denominator of the fraction seen on each line is the value of QA selected for the user.

This is equivalent to: “how much unfinished QA is there for this user?”

Registered QA Completed – (Registered Completed / Registered Required)

The total of all projects marked for the QA type and having a QA status of either “Passed” or “Failed” that are registered during the QA period.

The denominator of the fraction seen on each line is the QA required for all currently RESNET registered projects during the period.

Note: both values are different in meaning from “Selected” and “Completed”, both sides of the fraction ignore projects marked for QA that are not RESNET registered during the period.

This is equivalent to: “if the QA period was closed right now and nothing can change, how close is the current amount of completed QA to the requirement for this user?

The Footer

The footer of the dashboard shows the sums of all row values for each column. Hovering over the footer value will reveal a tooltip with a handy reminder of what the values in the column mean.
