User Roles

Ekotrope users that are in a Provider organization can have the following roles:

  • Rating: Rating is the most common role in Ekotrope and should be given to all users except for those in Training.  It allows the use of most features of Ekotrope except those that are outlined below.  A user with the Rating role will be allowed to submit ratings to the RESNET registry if the user is part of a provider organization and 'Allow internal rater submission' is set to true in Organization Settings by the Provider Admin.
  • Provider Admin: Provider Admins have the ability to submit projects to the RESNET registry if their credentials are valid. Provider Admins can also modify and view the RESNET registry credentials for the organization and some other organization settings.  They can view all projects visible to the organization including those from external organizations. Provider Admins can also manage users and organizations.
  • User Admin: User Admins can manage users within their organization, but they are not able to change a user's Provider Admin status.
  • QA: QA allows all rights from Provider Admin except they CANNOT view the RESNET registry credentials, manage users and organizations, and handle other organization settings.
  • Library Curator: Library Curators have the ability to verify (lock) library entries.  If a library entry is verified, it can only be edited by a Library Curator.  Any user can be a Library Curator within their organization and does not need to be a Provider Admin.
  • Project Curator: Project Curators can delete projects created by other users in their organization.  Projects that have been Registered with RESNET or shared with another organization cannot be deleted.  Email support@ekotrope.com if you need to remove a project and are unable to.  
  • Direct RESNET Submitter: Direct RESNET Submitters in rating organizations can register directly to RESNET registry using their provider's credentials.  This role is given to specific users by a Provider Admin.
  • Training:  Similar to the Rating role listed above without the abilities to download reports or upload to the RESNET Registry.  

These roles can be modified by Provider Admin and User Admin users on the Users List in your Organization's settings. If you cannot access the Users List and would like to know who has what roles in your organization, please email support@ekotrope.com
