Submitting to ICF Administered Utility Programs and the OIT

Ekotrope Users:

Video tutorial here

First, submit the Ekotrope project to the proper ICF program (for example, "MassSave" in Massachusetts) by clicking "Submit Project" --> ["Your_Utility_Program"].  The project must be in the proper U.S. State to submit to the given program.  If you do not see the program you are looking for, please contact Ekotrope Support.

Then, rather than uploading a file to the ICF OIT (Online Intake Tool), the OIT will ask the user to enter an Ekotrope Submission ID for any given rating.

This Submission ID can be found in two places:

1. Just after the project is submitted to the program in Ekotrope, a popup will be shown with the Submission ID.  The user can copy and paste that submission ID into the OIT.

2. After the project has been submitted, the Submission ID will be added to the project notes, which can be accessed from the project dashboard.

The Submission ID is a string of 8 letters and numbers, that will look something like this: 8vg4y42Z

REM/Rate Users:

Video tutorials here (watch in order): Import from REM/Rate then submit to the proper utility program.  An example of submitting to a specific program (in this case MassSave) can be seen here.

First, export your REM/Rate .blg file to .xml by clicking "File" --> "Export building to XML..."

Then, log into your Ekotrope account and click "Import from REM/Rate", and follow the instructions on that page.

Once your project is created, open the project, and follow the guidance for Ekotrope Users above.
