Ekotrope QA Track has been updated to support RESNET's 2026 Field QA requirements, which introduced two categories of Field QA: Non-delegable QA (NQA) and Delegable QA (DQA). This article explains what changed in QA Track and how to ensure your 2026 QA records are complete.
For background on how NQA and DQA work, see: RESNET Field QA for HERS Raters: NQA vs DQA Explained
New field: "QA Applies To"
All Field QA checklists now include a mandatory QA Applies To field.
- What it does: Identifies which user should receive NQA credit for this checklist. This data is passed to RESNET at submission.
- How to use it: When completing a Field QA checklist, select the Primary Field Reviewer in the QA Applies To field. This can be the Rater of Record or an associated Rater or Rating Field Inspector.
- DQA: The Rater of Record is always passed to RESNET automatically for DQA credit, regardless of who is selected in QA Applies To.
If you submitted checklists in 2026 before this field was available: Those checklists are missing NQA attribution data. Contact Ekotrope support. We can provide a list of affected checklists and assist with a batch update and RESNET submission.
Dashboard updates
The QA Track Dashboard has been updated to reflect the NQA/DQA split and to reduce noise.
What changed:
- The dashboard now only displays users who have active QA requirements. Users with no QA obligations are no longer shown.
- Each column includes an info icon with a plain-language description of what it tracks.
- New NQA and DQA columns have been added.
Column reference:
| Column | What it includes |
|---|---|
| File QA | In-progress projects with File QA types registered during the QA period, or not yet registered |
| Submitted File QA | Projects with a submitted File QA checklist whose Date Completed falls in the QA period, where the user is the Rater of Record |
| Selected DQA | In-progress Field or PDWI QA projects where this user is the Rater of Record but not the Primary Field Reviewer, registered during the QA period or not yet registered |
| Submitted DQA | Submitted Field or PDWI QA checklists whose Date Completed is in the QA period, where this rater is not the Primary Field Reviewer and is either the Rater of Record or an associated user with the Rater or RFI role |
| Selected NQA | In-progress Field or Pre-Drywall QA projects where this rater is the Primary Field Reviewer, registered during the QA period or not yet registered |
| Submitted NQA | Submitted Field or PDWI QA checklists whose Date Completed is in the QA period, where this rater is the Primary Field Reviewer |
Key change: how QA completion is counted
Starting in 2026, QA completion is determined by the date a checklist is submitted to RESNET, not the RESNET registration date. A QA counts toward the 2026 quota when it has been submitted (not just marked Complete/Pass/Fail in Ekotrope).
