User Roles

Standalone Roles

Users are required to have one of these roles.

Rating: The default role for most users in energy rating and provider organizations, allowing access to the majority of Ekotrope's features.

Training: Similar to the Rating role but restricted from downloading reports or submitting homes to RESNET, suitable for users in training.

Builder: Designed for Builders. Cannot submit to utility programs. Limited batch functionality.

Lite: Can access presciptive/UA code reports, but restricted from generating other confirmed reports.

Additional Roles

These roles grant specific additional permissions and can be layered with standalone roles:

Provider Admin: Has comprehensive control over project submissions to the RESNET registry, management of RESNET credentials, viewing all organizational projects, and user management within the organization.

User Admin: Responsible for managing user roles within their organization, without the authority to change Provider Admin status.

QA (Quality Assurance): QA allows all rights from Provider Admin except they CANNOT view the RESNET registry credentials, manage users and organizations, and handle other organization settings. 

Library Curator: Library Curators have the ability to verify (lock) library entries.  If a library entry is verified, it can only be edited by a Library Curator.  Any user can be a Library Curator within their organization and does not need to be a Provider Admin. 

Project Curator: Project Curators can delete projects created by other users in their organization.  Projects that have been Registered with RESNET or shared with another organization cannot be deleted.  Email support@ekotrope.com if you need to remove a project and are unable to. 

Direct RESNET Submitter: A Direct RESNET Submitter in rating organizations can register directly to RESNET registry using their provider's credentials.  This role is given to specific users by a Provider Admin. Users with this role role do not need to be part of an organization with the "direct submit" feature enabled to submit ratings directly to the registry.

Billing Admin: A Billing Admin can view and interact with the Billing Dashboard.

These roles can be modified by Provider Admin and User Admin users on the Users List in your Organization's settings. If you cannot access the Users List and would like to know who has what roles in your organization, please email support@ekotrope.com.
