User Admins and Provider Admins in Ekotrope can manage how registered rating snapshots are automatically shared with builder companies through the "Builder Sharing" settings. There are three options available. Note that in any of these cases, only registered ratings will be automatically shared, and only with builders that subscribe to this service. While not all builders subscribe, some large, national builders do subscribe so that they can better review and track their ratings, and enhance their partnership with their raters.
Automatic for all Builders means that all registered ratings from your organization will automatically be shared with relevant Builder companies that subscribe to this service.

Not Automatic means that registered ratings will not be shared automatically with any builder companies.

Automatic for Certain Builders allows you to share registered ratings automatically only with specific subscribing builder companies. The field "Builder Sharing Custom List", which appears when Automatic for Certain Builders is selected, allows you to specify the builder companies you want to share registered ratings with. Note Ekotrope automatically applies some name-correction (e.g. listing DR Horton would also catch D.R. Horton), but cannot guarantee that all name variations will be recognized.

Since this is a setting that affects your entire organization in Ekotrope, only User Admins and Provider Admins have access to this toggle.
Why does Ekotrope provide this capability?
Some builders have requested access to their registered HERS Rating models in order to:
- Review existing specs and model what-if scenarios
- Analyze scenarios and identify cost-effective paths to meet IECC 2021, ENERGY STAR 3.2, or other codes and programs
While these builders will be able to run some tradeoff analysis on their own, they will continue to rely on you as their trusted advisor to rate their homes and validate any design changes that may seem worthwhile. We believe this will reduce your modeling workload while allowing for a deeper level of strategic engagement with your builder clients.
However, in the case that you prefer builders not to receive these registered rating snapshots automatically, Ekotrope allows organizations to opt out by changing this setting.
