Ekotrope includes a field on the Site Info tab of the Project Info screen labeled "Builder Home ID." The purpose of this field is to store a unique identifier for each home that is provided by the builder. Typically this is an ID that comes from the builder's system, perhaps called a "Lot ID" or "Job Number."
This field can then be directly searched in the My Projects page in Ekotrope. The field will also be fed back to the builder if they request any data reporting from Ekotrope or from RESNET.
Some home builders have asked to make this field a mandatory field, in which case you will notice a QA Check that shows in the Quick Results while working on the project, as well as prior to RESNET registration. In some of these cases, the project may not be able to be registered unless it has a valid, unique Builder Home ID. Ekotrope will consider the Builder Home ID to be unique if no other RESNET registered project contains the same ID.
