PHOTO REQUIRED of Mechanical Ventilation Test Results, equipment nameplate/model number, and controls per HERS® Standards Chapter 9. Raters/RFIs are responsible for documenting reasons for missing photos. Mechanical Ventilation is tested according to ANSI/RESNET/ICC 380. Rater/RFI verifies and documents the correct ventilation type, frequency, and flow.
- Ventilation wattage can be verified via published OEM data, third-party database (i.e. HVI.org) or on-site measurement via a watt meter.
- Air flow measurement methods are described in ANSI/RESNET/ICC 380. Rater/RFI correctly notes whether or not they perform the testing.
SCORING:
"Satisfactory": When all mandatory photos are provided and one of the following
* If ride-along or remote QA, if testing procedures followed ANSI/RESNET/ICC 380 correctly
* If blind QA <10% variance between QAD result and Rater/RFI result
"1": For blind QA 10% to <15% variance between QAD result and Rater/RFI result
"2": For blind QA 15% to 25% variance between QAD result and Rater/RFI result
"3": * If ride-along or remote QA, if testing procedures did not follow ANSI/RESNET/ICC 380 correctly
* If blind QA, >25% variance between QAD result and Rater/RFI result
"Missing Photo": One or more of the mandatory photos are missing, and no errors in verification
"Missing Photo + "1": One or more of the mandatory photos are missing, plus "1" per scoring above
"Missing Photo + "2": One or more of the mandatory photos are missing, plus "2" per scoring above
"Missing Photo + "3": One or more of the mandatory photos are missing, plus "3" per scoring above
