PHOTO REQUIRED of LTO Test Results OR REPORT from Testing Software per ANSI/RESNET/ICC 301 APPENDIX B and HERS® Standards Chapter 9. If TDL result was used in place of LTO test result, then photo of TDL test results would be required in lieu of photo of LTO test results. Raters/RFIs are responsible for documenting reasons for missing photos. Duct leakage is tested according to ANSI/RESNET/ICC 380.
- Total duct leakage (TDL) and leakage to outside (LTO) are entered into software separately. TDL has no energy effect on the model; LTO does have an energy effect.
- Although many compliance programs allow TDL to be input to the software as LTO, and vice versa, documentation should represent which test was used.
- Locations for the test (return register, return trunkline or air handler, supply register or supply trunkline) should be documented and ideally reproduced for Field QA Review testing.
SCORING:
"Satisfactory" when correct
"Unsatisfactory" when photo provided shows value different than what was modeled
"Missing Photo": One or more of the mandatory photos are missing, and no errors in test results
"Unsatisfactory + Missing Photo": One or more of the mandatory photos are missing, plus "Unsatisfactory” per scoring above
"N/A": No duct testing required.
