In some cases, a system may be certified by the AHRI but may not have an HSPF rating listed on the AHRI Certificate.
In these cases, Ekotrope recommends using the following table to determine HSPF based on the COP at 47 degrees Fahrenheit. This table was developed based on a recreation of the AHRI HSPF calculation procedure for region IV (the standard HSPF region) and 17F and 35F COPs derived based on a standard heat pump performance curve from NREL published research (Cutler, et. al. 2013).
