What's the difference between Ekotrope's HERS Certificates?

There are two different HERS Certificate options in Ekotrope (see below).

The difference between the two reports is as follows:

The first HERS Certificate listed shows the HERS Rated Home information. The HERS Certificate (As Modeled) shows the As Modeled Home. The difference between the two is that the Rated Home ignores user inputs and uses the RESNET defaults (for things such as heating/cooling setpoints, hot water usage, etc.). The As Modeled home, however, does not override those inputs. 

The reason we show the as-modeled report is that raters like to fine-tune the setpoints of the home to better model the homeowner's lifestyle, and we want to give raters the ability to show what that could look like compared to the HERS Reference Home.
