Overview
The Component Library allows you to specify and save information about different components of a house that can be re-used across Ekotrope designs. From this interface you can filter, create, sort, copy, merge, and remove library entries. To get started using the Component Library, click on one of the Library Types (e.g. Walls, Windows or Conditioning Equipment).
Filtering and Sorting Your Library
Filter Bar: Use the filter bar to quickly find components based on common characteristics for each Library Type. You can filter by verified status, model numbers, R-values, and other relevant properties depending on the component type you're viewing.
Sorting: Click on any column header to sort your library entries by that attribute. This makes it easy to organize and navigate your component library based on the criteria most important to your workflow.
Managing Library Components
Removing Components: You can remove individual components or bulk remove multiple components at once to clean up your library. Note that removing a component is permanent and cannot be undone. Removed components will no longer be available for selection in future energy models, but they will remain in any existing models where they're already used.
Merging Components: Contact us at support@ekotrope.com if you need to merge two components into one. When components are merged, all energy models using either component will automatically switch to using the remaining component.
Additional Help
Help Documentation for each library entry category can be found by clicking the Help button on the library management screens for that category.
